Mardasson Memorial

The enormous star on top of Mardasson hill stands for the friendship between the Belgian and American people who fought side by side during WW2. It was inaugurated July 16, 1950. The monument shows the insignia of all the American units that fought during the Battle of the Bulge, also the name of every state of the US is engraved all around the monument. Inside the star you can read the history of the Battle of the Bulge.
